Margaret sees being respected and recognised by her peers as the far greater reward and revels in the fact that she is admired for not being part of a “sea of sameness” Margaret’s foray into small business ownership from an early age, resulted in her being nominated for the Telstra’s Business Woman of the Year Award in 1997. Recognition of her contribution to the business community was also rewarded with a seat on the Northern Territory Chief Minister’s Women’s Advisory Board and as a Representative for the Business & Professional Women’s Association Federation Forum advising the Prime Minister of concerns within the small business community.

Margaret has applied her skills & natural talents in a broad range of industries including Interior Design, Hospitality (having owned & operated her own Award Winning Restaurant), Events Management, Visual Merchandising & Retail.

Early in Margaret’s Real Estate career she was invited to participate in a Business Globalisation Seminar at Harvard University (1996) which gave further scope to her unique approach to business.

Much of her extensive training in Real Estate disciplines was undertaken in the USA where she adopted many of their unique skills in Marketing, Time Management and Interpersonal Communications making her a very effective multi-tasker and skilled negotiator.

Her “human interests” saw her appointed as a Governor of the 40th District of Quota International, an International Executive & Businesswomen’s Organization. She was one of the youngest ever appointed and received the International Presidents Award for her efforts in the successful establishment of schools, health centres, immunization programs and women’s refuges in third world and developing countries. Funding for medical research in areas such as Breast Cancer, speech and hearing impairment and tropical diseases was aggressively and competitively sought in Australia, a skill that she wishes to redevelop and put to good use in South East Queensland for those organizations that rely on the publics donation to provide essential services to those in need.

Margaret’s other passions beside Real Estate include Travel (now focused on discovering the rest of Australia), the Creative Arts, Interior Design and further developing her cooking skills as nothing bring her more joy than hosting & entertaining family & friends at home.

We originally meet Margaret when we were looking for an apartment to purchase and ended up buying one off her when she was running Cameo. At this time through the purchase process, we found Margaret to be the ultimate professional whose attention to detail was exemplary and although we had been through this process many times before, it was our first time within Australia and Margaret made the whole experience stress free. Over the years following we got to know Margaret on a personal note and even when we were back and forward from our overseas postings, Margaret always made the effort to pop over and catch up.
