Ray was incredibly professional in all his dealings when I sold my house. He recommended how to present the house, the price he felt I could obtain and, as it was during a lockdown period, he advised me to refer all enquiries to him. He produced an excellent set of photos in the form of a “virtual tour” and put an initial “teaser” on Facebook to let potential purchasers know that the house was shortly to be released on the market. He was present when everyone wanting to view arrived at the house and dealt with them in a polite and pleasant way. Never one to push himself, Ray clearly identified which prospective purchaser was the best one to pursue and in fact the house sold within two days even before it was officially put on the market.

Our first encounter with Ray Scarfe was 17 years ago when he sold us our former property. Although at that time he was acting on behalf of the seller we were nonetheless impressed by his knowledge of the local market, his relaxed friendly nature and his all round professionalism.
Accordingly it seemed like a “no brainer” when after a chance encounter with Ray we engaged him to give us an appraisal on our property which we had reluctantly decided to sell due to encroaching years.
Ray completed a timely appraisal of the property and fully explained the reasons for his figure and the benefits of marketing the property through @realty – in particular the level of commission charged (which was significantly lower than other local agencies had quoted us) and that this figure included all signage & advertising associated with the sale.
We had no hesitation in signing an exclusive agency agreement with Ray and our faith in him was vindicated when the property sold for our asking price in less than six weeks. Throughout the process Ray was most sympathetic to our needs and kept us fully informed of progress at all times. His calm reassuring nature and his very professional approach to the sale made for an “armchair” ride for us.
